Sustainable wood is timber that has been harvested responsibly from well managed forests that are continuously replenished and ensure that there is no damage to the surrounding environment, eco systems and to wildlife, which means the forest should still be there for generations to come, and can continue to soak up carbon emissions and keep our air clean.

 

We feel strongly about sustainability and the future of the planet, lucky for us wood is recyclable, renewable, and biodegradable, having a minimal impact on the environment.

Our distressed tables tops are all crafted from first grade Redwood, and our reclaimed table tops are all crafted from locally sourced reclaimed softwood timber. Softwood takes less time to grow meaning its easier to replenish, making softwoods generally a more sustainable option than hardwoods. 

 

We source our wood from a company committed to the protection of the environment and to the promotion of wood as a renewable and environmentally friendly material who ensure that the timber comes from carefully managed forests that is certified according to standards from FSC.
