Our table tops are all finished in a wood stain of your choice Oak, Meduim Oak, Walnut or Limed, followed by three coats of OSMO Polyx-Oil to highlight the natural tone, texture and to fully cure the wood. This means the table surface is highly repellent and easy to maintain.

Distressed Finish

These beautiful solid wood 2" thick tables tops are crafted from kiln dried timber straight from the Sawmill, each piece will have unique characteristics and appearance with naturally occurring variations in colour, texture and grain pattern. The timber is then distressed removing all the soft grain to bring out the natural character and to create a rustic look. These table tops  are smooth to touch with a slighlty raised grain.

Reclaimed Finish 

These beautiful solid rustic table tops are all crafted from locally sourced reclaimed timber, all 2" thick table tops are perfectly unique with a homely and rustic appearance. Relaxed in style, sanded to a smooth finish and protected with a hard wax oil whilst maintaining all those natural imperfections, character and rustic charm. These table tops are smooth to touch with a undistressed 'flatter' and smoother surface.

Reclaimed or Distressed Finish - whats the difference? 

The biggest difference is in the style of wood. Reclaimed wood table tops are simply made from wood with a past life used for a new purpose. The timber has been sanded but has not been purposely distressed and has more of a naturally rustic, almost smoother finish. 

Distressed table tops are all crafted from kiln dried timber straight form the Sawmill and is 'brand new' timber. The timber is then distressed removing all the soft grain to bring out more of the woods natural character and to create a real rustic look.

 As our furniture is rustic please be aware that our products may have natural imperfections, colour variations, saw marks, texture and knots varying from board to board, which we believe add to the beauty of handmade.

Faux Live Edge 

 If your would prefer a faux live edge on your table as seen in some of our pictures please drop us a message before placing your order so that we can accommodate this for you. All tables are finished with a straight square edge unless a live edge is requested.
